[There is indeed a rush of relief that courses through her at Katniss' voice, because while the whole going grey thing was explained to her, she was still concerned.]
Same to you. [ It's a little foreign for her to be so caring, but these are people from home, and they deserve better than a heart of ice. She's trying to be strong in the most difficult way a person like her can be. ]
I -- [ After Prim left... ] -- Misplaced it, yes. But I'm fine now.
[Ugh. She's trying really hard to not be -- well, herself over the entire thing, because she knows Katniss absolutely abhors the lectures and the fussing and huffing, but -- ]
Why would you do such a thing? Peeta and I were worried sick, we both combed the city for days looking for you.
Prim. [ That's the only word she should have to say. The only explanation she should need to offer. ] I lost Prim. [ After a long pause, her voice hoarse and thick, barely a whisper, she irks out. ] Probably for good.
[There is, because Effie only offers a soft 'hm' before disconnecting the feed. And then she walks to their home, in her heels (though she's dressed in muted greys and whites today, to spare Katniss a true explosion of color), and she knocks on the door gingerly, almost as if she's afraid it's going to break.]
[ ... For someone who talks about manners... Effie sure did just hang up on her. Katniss frowns at her bracelet for a moment before she realizes that she'd better get up, and go out of her room, and prepare for a visitor. And she's correct. She hears the knock, sighs, and gets up to open the door. ]
I'm sorry. [ She really does feel guilty, but... The time in the fog is a release for her, from her own thoughts, and she's still just selfish enough that it's more important to her than assuaging her friends' fears about where she's gone. They knew she wasn't at home, they had to, if they paid attention. So she doesn't get why it's as huge a deal as it is. But when has she ever really understood Effie's frame of mind, truly? ] I'll try not to. I'm not a fan of chains.

-- I'm glad you're alright.
[It seems the first appropriate thing to say.]
Did you lose your bracelet?

I -- [ After Prim left... ] -- Misplaced it, yes. But I'm fine now.

[A slow repetition.
How does one misplace a bracelet?]

Katniss...

Are you home, Katniss?
[Because that's basically all she needs to figure out that something is horrendously wrong.]

she's pretty sure the answer is yes. ]

Come on in.

I'm so glad you are alright, Katniss.
[Quietly, before she moves her hands to gently take Katniss' face in her hands, brow furrowed, lips pursed.]
But if you do that again, I am going to have to be forced to chain you to this house.
